How We Take Action – A Collective Force at Work

The European Glovebox association operates by and for its members. Its strength lies in the direct involvement of field actors who collaboratively design standards and solutions tailored to the current and future challenges of the sector.
Our actions take various but complementary forms: working groups, key events, professional development, and institutional dialogue. These combined dynamics are what give EG its lasting, real-world impact.

OUR WORKING GROUPS: HUBS OF EXPERTISE AND CO-CREATION

Spaces for exchange and co-construction, our working groups bring together experts to address
strategic issues:

1

WG1 Preventive Maintenance

This group focuses on defining and promoting best practices for the use and maintenance of glove boxes, based on feedback from users and manufacturers. The goal is to improve equipment reliability, safety, and lifespan, while reducing long-term operating costs.

2

WG2 EG Directive & Labeling

This group’s mission is to develop a European regulatory standard specifically for glove boxes, grounded in real-world requirements. By bringing together experts, manufacturers, users and specifiers, the group works to define a clear, shared framework that supports compliance, traceability, and recognition of European know-how on an international level.

3

WG3 ESG / CSR & Second Chance

This group explores environmental, social, and governance (ESG) challenges in the sector. It aims to turn regulatory and societal constraints into drivers of positive
transformation, by developing responsible, inclusive, and innovative practices. The “second chance” theme also reflects a desire to open up the industry to diverse profiles and non-traditional career paths.
